20 miles west of Yellowstone Park is the perfect location and place to hunt Montana moose. In the fall and winter when the mountains are snow covered and the game are in season, we host several moose hunts as well as a variety of other types of game including mountain goat/sheep, elk and mule deer. Imagine stalking out your prey in the most beautiful natural area in the country.
Currently we hunt in the Beaverhead and Gallatin National Forests and the Lee Metcalf

If you would like to hunt for Montana moose you must first obtain a special permit just as you would if you were hunting for mountain goat or sheep. The
Montana Fish and Wildlife Department currently issue special moose hunting permits in Montana as a lottery system. After applying, your name will be entered into a lottery and you will then be given the chance to win a special permit. Hunters who have previously won a special moose hunting permit will have to wait 8 years before applying for another license to hunt for moose. We understand the guidelines and regulations and can advise you on when to apply for the licenses and how early to start planning for your trip.

*Trips that require travel of 100 miles out of area will have a surcharge of $75.00. Hunt is considered booked when 50% of the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior the date of the hunt. If the hunter fails to send the license information to the Montana Fish and Game on time (March 15), the deposit is forfeited. If the hunter fails to send the balance due on time (30 days prior to the arrival of the hunt) the deposit will also be forfeited.
