Southwest Montana scenery that comes with being around the Rockies and the Beaverhead and Gallatin National Forests. Hunting for mountain goat in the Montana wilderness takes place in the fall and as such, hunters get to experience hunting in cold temperatures and snow, all the while enjoying the beautiful snow covered mountain scenery.
Our goat hunting trips are special, as the goat hunting license is typically
difficult to come by. Generally speaking most of these trips are one on one guided trips.
For mountain goat hunting, you’ll need to apply for the special license for mountain goat
Hunting in Montana. Currently, you must apply for the big game license, and then the goat hunting licenses are issued as a lottery.
Therefore you cannot be guaranteed a mountain goat
hunting license. Please note that the mountain goat
license application has a deadline of May 1st. Call us for details and suggestions if you are interested in mountain goat hunting.

We hunt in the 326, 327, and 328 districts for goat.
*Trips that require travel of 100 miles out of area will have a surcharge of $75.00. Hunt is considered booked when 50% of the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior the date of the hunt. If the hunter fails to send the license information to the Montana Fish and Game on time (March 15), the deposit is forfeited. If the hunter fails to send the balance due on time (30 days prior to the arrival of the hunt) the deposit will also be forfeited.
