Gallatin National Forest Hunting Area The Gallatin National Forest is another area we regularly hunt that we are very familiar with. The entire Gallatin National Forest region comprises about 2.1 million acres in south central Montana and includes the Gallatin, Madison, Bridger and Beartooth Mountain ranges within its boundaries. Created in 1899, the Gallatin National
Forest area is very close to the Yellowstone National Park and is considered part of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem.
The beautiful Rocky Mountains serve as the backdrop for your Montana
Hunting trip in the Gallatin and Beaverhead National Forests when you come along on one of our guided or unguided camp hunts. Several species of big game are found here as the ecosystem supports large numbers of Montana elk, mule deer, bison, Montana moose, bighorn sheep, antelope, mountain lions, and black bears. In addition to hunting big game, there are several other activities to enjoy in the outdoors here. Visitors to the region enjoy hiking and wilderness trekking, downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as fishing of all kinds.
Imagine spending 7 to 10 days in the beautiful and serene Montana wilderness hunting for Montana elk, mountain goat, and even moose. We host several special hunts as well as archery hunting. Take a look at our
