Fly Fishing
What to Expect Our clients should be prepared for the conditions that are typical for the time of year we are fly fishing. In the spring we usually see cooler temperatures in the morning, warming throughout the afternoon, with temperatures starting to decline in the evening.
Summer time is more of an "anything goes" scenario, with temperatures ranging between 60 and 80 degrees in June to the high 90’s in August when we swim in the river at most stops to keep cool. During this time of year we strongly recommend large brim hats, full length shirts and pants, depending on how much sun you want to get. September to October we usually start seeing a cooling trend, temperatures between 40 and 70 degrees and we may go back to wearing waders and longer shirts as the months progress.
